Marco Nolli Violin, Cremona, Italy, 1998

Marco Nolli was born in1964. He attended the International Violin Making School in Cremona where he studied under Georgio Scolari and Stefano Conia, graduating with merit in 1983. Since then, Nolli has won several medals at international competitions and his instruments are played by a significant number of professional players.

This violin exhibits the beautifully clean and precise work that has become Nolli’s trademark. It features a narrow-flamed two-piece back with similar sides and head; the two piece top of fine, straight grained tonewood, the varnish of a lovely transparent red-brown over a light gold ground.

With a ‘Master’ set up and fitted with Evah Pirazzi strings, this violin would ideally suit the advanced student or professional player.
